An independent guide to the best Mijas hotels and accommodation in town and the surrounding area.
Situated close to the town center, the Hotel TRH Mijas offers both sea and mountain views. With over 200 double rooms, a swimming pool and all the mod-cons you would expect from a 4 star hotel including tennis-courts and a gym.
The hotel also offers a limited dining service but with many good local restaurants close to the hotel, it would be a shame not to eat elsewhere. The hotel does have parking but charges 9€ a night.
Charming small hotel, centrally situated behind Plaza de la Constitucion in the heart of the village. The hotel is almost hidden away in the corner of the square past the leather shop. All rooms have Air-conditioning, along with a mini-bar, DVD player, TV, safe and a private terrace overlooking the sea and mountains.
Excellent room rates and very clean, El Escudo is highly recommended. Due to its location, El Escudo de Mijas does not offer wheelchair access or parking facilities although parking can be found very closeby.
Located in the old town, 10 mins walk from the center, Hostal Posada Mijas is a simple hostel. No food available but each room does have cooking facilities. Within short distance there are many bars and restaurants. No parking facilities; parking can be found either on the surrounding streets or in the main car park, about 15 mins walk from the Hostal.
Family run B&B with stunning views of the coast, a private swimming pool and BBQ area. Hostal Casa Caleta is 10 mins walk from the town center or 2 mins by car. Courses for Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Yoga and Meditation are also offered.
Situated halfway between Mijas and Fuengirola, the Hotel Hacienda Puerta del Sol is well known for its spacious rooms, good food and excellent staff.
The hotel has 130 available rooms and services including indoor swimming pool, sauna, tennis court, mini-golf course and Wi-Fi. They also provide a bicycle renting service available for guests. There is also a bus-stop in front of the Hotel to catch a bus to either Mijas Pueblo or Fuengirola.
Casa Tejon can be found in the middle of the village on the main road leading to the local church and the Ethnological Museum of Mijas. There are 3 studios available, all are set around a small courtyard. Each studio contains a lounge with a sofa and TV, kitchen and appliances, double bedroom and a bathroom. Prices vary from 45€ a night in low season to 55€ during high season. Friendly staff, well run. No parking facilities.
The Macdonald La Ermita has excellent views over-looking the coast and good range of 1,2 and 3 bedroom apartments available in this large resort, situated close to the village. There are 2 outdoor pools, a gym and sauna for guests to use.
The resort offers a bistro open until 7:30pm. However, such is the choice and variety of restaurants and bars close at hand that we recommend eating in the town.
