The New-York Historical Society is located in a landmark building at 170 Central Park West between 76th and 77th Street. It is open to the general public Tuesday through Sunday and on selected holiday Mondays. It is also open on Mondays during special exhibitions for school and adult groups. The museum houses materials relating to the founding of our country, the history of art in America, and the history of New York and its people. The museum collection of more than 60,000 objects and works of art.
