Freedom Trail

Kane

The Freedom Trail was originally coined by local journalist William Schofield who believed it an importance to outline  a pedestrian trail linking important landmarks in Boston. The mayor in 1951, John Hynes approved William’s idea and by 1953, 40 000 people walked the trail annually. If you make your way to the first floor of Faneuil Hall, the National Park  offers tours from the first floor.
