In 2005, Boston’s Logan International Airport served 27,087,905 passengers, handled 409,066 flights. New England’s largest transportation center, the airport boundary encompasses approximately 2,400 acres in East Boston, Massachusetts. There are 102 gate positions at Logan which are available for both scheduled and non-scheduled service. A city within a city. In addition to being New England’s premier Transportation Center, Logan International Airport serves as an art gallery which displays a variety of sculptures, paintings, and mosaics located throughout the terminals and Central Parking Garage.

Transportation to and from Logan:
Logan Express
Frequent express bus service from four suburban locations – Braintree (south), Framingham (west), Peabody and Woburn (north).

MBTA Silver Line:
Bus rapid transit service with direct connection to and from South Station, (Red Line subway).

MBTA Subway & Bus:
Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority operates subway and bus routes to and from Logan.

Logan Shuttle:
Complimentary shuttle bus service between the Blue Line Airport subway station, all airport terminals, the water transportation terminal and satellite parking.

South Station Regional Bus and Commuter Rail:
Several regional bus companies offer service between Logan and South Station. Commuter rail to the South Shore and Metro West is also available at South Station.

Private bus services.

Water Transport:
Boat service by private carriers to and from downtown Boston, and to the South Shore, (Quincy and Hull).

Parking conditions may change from the time you see it here and your arrival at Logan. Be sure to tune to Logan Radio 1650AM as you approach the airport to get up-to-the-minute information on current parking conditions. Once at the airport, follow the parking instructions on the message boards posted along the roadway.
