Mijas Theatre Festival 2012

The 26th annual Mijas Theatre Festival will focus on humor to bring a smile to many faces. The festival acts will be in Spanish but promise to be colorful and full of fun for an international audience. The festival is different every year with different local, national, and sometimes international acts playing in various venues around Mijas.

 

The Municipal Auditorium is the venue from July 13 to 15. Prices range from 6 to 18 euro

The Mijas theatre festival starts on Friday, July 13th with a performance from the Mijas theatre company. Staging “Enseñando a un Sinverguenza”, a comedy play.

 

On Saturday, July 14 a satire on Bullfighting, “Muuu” will ridicule sexism, bravery, patriotism, honor, pride, and bullfighting, many of the values associated with this uniquely Spanish cultural event.

 

Finally, on Sunday 16th, the festival will host close “The Incredibles’ Club”, a combination of music and humor which will include several well-known comedians such as Alvaro Carrero, Tomas Garcia, and Sergio Fernandez from Onda Cero Radio.

 

Tickets for the Mijas Theatre festival can be purchased at Casa Museo (Mijas Pueblo), Casa de la Cultura ( Las Lagunas), and Centro Cultural y Deportivo (La Cala de Mijas). Tickets can also be purchased through the website, www.todaslasentradas.com.
